The course that is being presented this week in our face-to-face Substance Abuse Counselor Training is “Sexually Transmitted Diseases, including HIV”. 2. Overview of Most Prevalent STDs
3. Sociological Risk Factors for Substance Abuse and STDs
4. Counselor-Client Communication: STD Issues
5. Appropriate assessments, interventions, professionalism, and supportive measures such as case management and client education for the professional who is caring for the chemically impaired individual.
