And what you end up with educated citizens, who contribute to strength of the nation. Australia provides college education or vocational school education (TAFE) to all its citizens free of charge. As you are aware, many Big island students are currently on PAHA scholarship. My personal stimulus plan and version of aloha and kokua.

Our country makes getting an education so difficult. It's expensive, and unless your willing to take on a great deal of debt, a college degree is near impossible. In many European countries, education is practically free. When my x was growing up in Czech Republic, if you didn't go to school, you went to jail, if you didn't work, you went to jail. When I heard this, I was shocked and thankful that I grew up in America. But during that time, there was no such thing as "unemployment" or "uneducated". There was lower rates of crime and homelessness. Everyone was educated. I hope that our society can find someplace in the middle . Understand that the more education our community can recieve in the areas of parenting, stress managment, budgeting, health and supportting those in crisis, the less crime, abuse and helplessness our community will have.
